JURORS
You have been summoned to be on the jury for a serious case. It is 1859, and John Brown has been charged with treason, murder and inciting a slave rebellion. You must determine if John Brown is guilty of this charge beyond a reasonable doubt.
Before the Trial
You will complete the jury questionnaire. You are also being sequestered, so that you are not prejudiced by either side. You are NOT to talk to either side about the case.
You will also be working on putting together a digital virtual museum for an assigned witness.
During the Trial
You will listen and take DETAILED notes. These notes will help you when you meet with the other jurors to decide the fate of the John Brown.
At the conclusion of the trial, you will deliberate with your fellow jurors and at least 9 of you must agree of John Brown's guilt or innocence.
